Commerical ag weed, insect, disease class set

A Commercial Ag Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management Continuing Instructional Course for commercial pesticide applicators will be held Nov. 13 at the Jefferson County ISU Extension Office.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course runs from 9-11:30 a.m.

The registration fee is $35 on or before Wednesday and $45 after Wednesday.

The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 10.

Some of the topics to be covered include pesticide handling; personal protective equipment; pests, pest management and pesticides; and pesticide stewardship.

Certified Crop Advisor Continuing Education Units in Pest Management will be offered at the program. Any interested participant should bring his or her CCA number.
