Commission to hold cemetery tour
The Washington Preservation Commission will present a cemetery tour Sunday, Oct. 12, at Woodlawn Cemetery. The free event will be held from 2 to 4 in the afternoon.

The Washington Preservation Commission will present a cemetery tour Sunday, Oct. 12, at Woodlawn Cemetery. The free event will be held from 2 to 4 in the afternoon.
Re-enactors will include Debbie Stanton as Civil War nurse Julia Henry , Carol Ray as Civil War nurse Phebe Allen, Mike Kramme as Captain J. J. Kellogg, Mary Patterson as Mrs. Elizabeth Keck, Tim and Clyde Johnson as John and Samuel Graham, John Greener as Judge Edwin Eicher, and Bryan Kendall as the Rev. Charles Reynolds Brown. Illa Earnest will host the event and Mike Zahs will present a history of the cemetery.
Woodlawn Cemetery is at the corner of South Avenue D and West Adams Street.
