The search for a new home for Washington County Public Health Department has been narrowed down to two locations.
This was discussed during the Washington County Public Health Board meeting Tuesday.
?The building and finance committee, since November, [has] looked at 11 different options,? Washington County Public Health Administrator Danielle Pettit-Majewski said. ?Some empty lots that we could build new on, some existing structures that we could renovate and I think it?s safe to say that we have narrowed those 11 options down to two. One option is county-owned property and one options is private property.?
The location of the lots was not disclosed. Pettit-Majewski said their architect Brad Lang will be at a meeting next Monday to give his input on the property that is county-owned.
?We are hoping for a May referendum, which would be May 5,? Pettit-Majewski said. ?We would need to have that in to the auditor by March 25. We need 46 calendar-day notice.?
