Congregate Meals: June 13-17, 2016

Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has listed its congregatte meals menu for the coming week.

Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.

Monday ? beef burrito, Chuckwagon Corn, mixed green salad, strawberries, crispy rice bar.

Tuesday ? theme meal day.

Wednesday ? chef salad with turkey, mandarin oranges, banana, wheat dinner roll or bread with margarine.

Thursday ? salmon patty, baked potato with sour cream, Brussels sprouts, peach crisp, wheat dinner roll or bread with margarine.

June 17 ? baked chicken, cheesy macaroni salad, spinach, fresh melon plate, apple-cinnamon-oatmeal bar, wheat dinner roll or bread with margarine.

Milk is offered with all meals.

The menu provides a general balanced diet that meets the RDA?s/RIA?s for adults. Responsibility for compliance with any dietary restrictions rests with the participants.

For people 60 years of age and older and their spouse of any age, there is a suggested contribution based on income range. Individuals younger than 60 pay the full meal charge as posted at the meal site.

Reservations for meals at Fairfield must be made one day in advance either at the senior center or by calling 472-4403.

Bingo is played 12:15-1:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center.
