Connie Allen Housman, 64, New London, died, January 22, 2019 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington. She was born August 5, 1954 in Burlington to Dale Edward and Blanche Garrels Allen. She was a graduate of New London High School and Burlington Beauty Academy and member of New London United Methodist Church.

Connie enjoyed sports, the Hawkeyes, boating, puzzles, shopping, cooking; and time with grandkids. She loved doing hair and had missed her clients.

Survivors include daughters; Lisa (Ben) Bence and Lyndsay (Rich) Lerdal, both of Burlington; grandchildren, Abbey, Garret and Caydee; sister, Dalene (Steve) Pickle, New London; brothers, Chuck (Pat) Allen, Danville and Jim (Pat) Allen, New London; nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service for Connie Housman will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Dean Graber officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday with the family receiving friends from 5 – 7 PM. Her body has been cremated with private inurnment at Burge Cemetery at a later date. Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice House and West Burlington Athletic Boosters, where her grandchildren attend school.
