For those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one, the holidays probably can?t be over soon enough.
Renowned grief therapist, Nick Longworth, of Cedar Rapids, will be presenting several ideas on how to survive the upcoming holiday season. This annual seminar invites anyone who is enduring any type of loss to attend this helpful session. The ?Coping with the Holidays? seminar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m., at Arbor Village South, located at 126 West Stonebrook Drive, in Mt. Pleasant.
Longworth is a licensed grief therapist. He has spoken to thousands of people over the years on a variety of topics relating to loss through death. He has also designed and facilitated bereavement support groups for people of all ages and consults with schools, businesses and other groups regarding sudden death.
Longworth received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, and obtained his graduate degree from the St. Paul School of Theology, in Kansas City, Mo. After serving for six years as the chaplain for St. Luke?s Hospice, he served as St. Luke?s Hospital Director of Pastoral Care in Cedar Rapids.
