Couple announce wedding

Greta Smeins, of Iowa City, and Blandon Clemons, also of Iowa City, exchanged wedding vows at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at Bella Sala Event Center in Tiffin. The outdoor ceremony was officiated by Patrick Grassley.

Greta is the daughter of Bryce and Krista Smeins, of Washington, and Blandon is the son of Johnny and Tracye Botts, of Owingsville, Kentucky.

Maid of honor was Caitlin Fishback, friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Miranda Burges, Korrie Watt, Cassey Sobaski, Molly Donnolly, McKenna Bartko, Logann Long and Taylor Richardson - all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Aubre Oliver, niece of the groom. Personal attendant was Tristan Smeins, sister-in-law of the bride.

Best man was Marquez Young, friend of the groom.

Groomsmen were Paul Given, Nathan Fugate, Chandler Maze, Tyler Ferrell, Tyler Jackson, Shandy Karrick and Patrick Bailey - all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Chancellor Grassley, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Joe Smeins, brother of the bride, Jared Hutchinson, friend of the groom and Cody Embree and Lucas Anderson, both friends of the couple.

A dinner and dance was held immediately following the ceremony at Bella Sala Event Center.

Greta is a 2010 graduate of Washington High School and a 2014 graduate of Morehead State University in Morehead Kentucky, with degrees in Strategic Communications and Marketing. Blandon is a 2008 graduate of Bath County High School in Owingsville, Kentucky, and a 2014 graduate of Morehead State University with a degree in General Studies.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica for five days and is making their home in Iowa City. Greta is an Orientation Supervisor for GEICO in North Liberty and Blandon is a Sales Consultant for Billion Automotive in Iowa City.
