Couple announces marriage
Dana Mottet, daughter of Daniel and Barbara Mottet of Brighton, and Bill Elam, son of Michael and Wanda Elam of Brashear, Missouri, were married Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church in Kirksville, Missouri. The Reverend Carrol Davenport, Transitional Pastor, Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.

Dana Mottet, daughter of Daniel and Barbara Mottet of Brighton, and Bill Elam, son of Michael and Wanda Elam of Brashear, Missouri, were married Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church in Kirksville, Missouri. The Reverend Carrol Davenport, Transitional Pastor, Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bridesmaids were Tiffany Braun of Kirksville, friend of the bride, and Karla Elam of Kirksville, sister-in-law of the groom. The groomsmen were John Elam of Kirksville, brother of the groom and Nathan Cook of Columbia, Missouri, friend of the groom. The flower girls were Brogan and Avanley Mottet of Fairfield, nieces of the bride, and Allie and Lillie Elam of Kirksville, nieces of the groom. The honorary flower girl was Sadie Elam of Kirksville, niece of the groom. The ring bearer was Keegan Clay of Altus, Oklahoma, great-nephew of the groom. The ushers were Curtis Mottet of Fairfield, brother of the bride, and Trevor Love of Brashear, nephew of the groom. The lector was Taryn Mottet of Fairfield, sister-in-law of the bride. The organist and choir director was Scott Alberts and the Trinity Episcopal Church Choir sang.
The rehearsal dinner was at Colton's Steakhouse in Kirksville and was hosted by the groom's parents. The reception was at the Catholic Newman Center in Kirksville and included a dinner and dance. The hosts were Jane and David Nefores, aunt and uncle of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Truman State University (2007) and the University of Missouri Columbia (2013) and is employed at Adair County Senate Bill 40 Developmental Disability Board. The groom is a graduate of Truman State University (2009 and 2011) and is employed at Bank of Kirksville. The couple plans to reside in Kirksville.
