Couple announces marriage

Deidre (Freyenberger) Holtkamp, daughter of Jim and Denise Freyenberger of Wayland, is happy to announce her marriage to Jordan Holtkamp, son of Tom and Kathy Holtkamp of Mt. Pleasant.

They were married at 4 p.m., July 23, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Iowa City.

The service was officiated by the Rev. Len Eberhart, who is an uncle of the bride, and the Rev. Dave Schooley of Eicher Mennonite Church.

The music prelude was done by members of the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra with soloists Tom Holtkamp, who is the father of the groom, and Audra Barnhart, a friend of the couple.

Grandparents of the groom are Dorothy Holtkamp, Verna Leininger and Robert Leininger.

The wedding party included: Lauren Brown as maid of honor; bridesmaids Nikki Merritt, Jessica Reschly, Megan Boland, Amanda Leichty and Rebecca Freyenberger; Derek Holtkamp as best man; Jordan Batey, Craig Hoyer, Kolter Stooksberry, Brad Borkowski and Javan Freyenberger; ushers were Wes Holtkamp and Michael Chouinard; flower girls were Louisa McGargill and Ellison Picklapp.

A reception was held at the Hotel Kirkwood in Cedar Rapids.

The bride graduated from WACO High School in 2006, Warburg College in 2010 and received her master?s degree from East Tennessee University in professional communications in 2013. She is employed by Cambridge Investment Research Inc.

The groom graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 2007 and the University of Northern Iowa in 2012 with degrees in real estate and finance. He is employed by Aegon in Cedar Rapids.

After a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in North Liberty.
