Couple announces their marriage

Hannah Rich and Spencer Shepherd were united in marriage on July 24, 2015, in an outdoor ceremony at Prairie Moon Winery in Ames. The ceremony was officiated by Jaron Rosien, friend of the couple, of Washington.

Hannah is the daughter of Brett and Sue Rich of Washington and the granddaughter of Bill and Clarabell Vittetoe and Ron and Sandy Rich, all of Washington. Spencer is the son of Mike and Suzi Shepherd of Wayland and the grandson of Ellie and Wes Fiala of Mason City, Gary and Peggy Fisher of Cedar Rapids and Edward and Gwen Shepherd of Washington.

The bride wore a lace bridal gown by Allure Bridal and carried a bouquet of white and pink roses, pink peonies, lavender carnations and lamb's ear. The bouquet was entwined with a lavender rosary she had brought from Rome for her Grandmother Clarabell Vittetoe.

Alexa Walker and Taylor Friedrichs were the maids of honor. Liz Alley, Alyssa Rich and Emily Nuetzman were the bridesmaids. They wore floor-length gowns in lavender chiffon by Bill Levkoff and carried bouquets similar to the bride's. The flower girls were Harper and Hadley Nuetzman and Paisley Rich.

Colin Shepherd and Isaac Hunt were the best men. Bryce Shelman, Trevor Rich and Lucas Robison were the groomsmen and Joel Vittetoe, Kaleb Rich, Shawn Nuetzman and Tyler Trapp were the ushers. The men wore gray slacks, ivory shirts, lavender bow ties and gray suspenders.

The bride is a graduate of Washington High School and Iowa State University with a degree in Apparel Merchandising. She is a buyer for Von Maur in Davenport. The groom is a graduate of WACO High School in Wayland and Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. He is employed by ORA Orthopedics in Davenport.

The couple resides in Davenport.
