Couple announces wedding plans

Kristal Chalupa and Lucas Cookman are excited to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Chalupa is a graduate of Highland High School. She completed her training in dental assisting at Kirkwood Community College in 2007 and her certification in dental hygiene in 2014.

She is currently employed at Coral West Dental in Coralville. She is the daughter of Michael and Monika Chalupa of Riverside.

Lucas is the son of Linda and Joe Cookman of Fort Dodge. He graduated from Mason City High School. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He currently works for the University of Iowa Community Credit Union in North Liberty.

The couple is planning an October wedding at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.
