Couple exchange wedding vows

Sara Raye Wellman of Ankeny and Bradley Thomas Baranick of Ankeny were married at 4:26 p.m., April 26, 2014, at Jester Park Lodge in Granger. The Rev. Scott Rains officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are David and Janet Wellman of Tipton, formerly of Washington. Parents of the groom are Thomas and Michelle Baranick of Stone Lake, Wis.

The bride wore an ivory strapless wedding gown with sweetheart neckline, pleated bodice, trumpet skirt and train with beaded belt around the waist. The gown featured sequin lace with tulle overlay. Her headpiece was a waist-length veil with beading around the edging. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, white roses and purple alstroemerias.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with white vest and tie and white rose boutonniere.

The maid of honor was Darci Pratt of Mankato, Minn. Bridesmaids were Libby Dobbs of San Francisco, Calif., and Becca Baranick of Belle Plaine, Minn., sister-in-law of the groom.

John Baranick of Belle Plaine, Minn., brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Luke Miller of Ankeny and Matt Sener of Chicago, Ill.

Ushers were George Schaub and Beau Artist. Jessica Miller was the bride?s personal attendant.

A reception was held in Jester Park Lodge.

Special guests were grandparents of the couple, C.O. Wellman, and Larry and Margaret Baranick; and great-grandmother, Virginia Baranick.

Sara graduated from Washington High School and AIB College of Business. She works at Catholic Health Initiatives of Des Moines.

Bradley graduated from St. Charles North High School in St. Charles, Ill., and Iowa State University. He works at Marel in Des Moines.

The couple will make their home at 1602 N.W. Prairie Lakes Drive, Unit 2, Ankeny, IA 50023.
