Marie is the daughter of J.D. and Shannon Unternahrer of Washington. She graduated from Washington High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa. She is employed at the University of Northern Iowa.
Matthew is the son of Tom and Kim Swalin of Laurens. He graduated from Laurens-Marathon High School. He attends the University of Northern Iowa, where he is also employed.
The couple will be married on June 21, 2014, at Wooden Wheel Vineyards in rural Keota.
