Couple to celebrate 50th anniversary
Michael Ed Althaus and Alice Marie Forinash were married April 15, 1965, at Chapel in the Canyon in Chatsworth, Calif.

Michael Ed Althaus and Alice Marie Forinash were married April 15, 1965, at Chapel in the Canyon in Chatsworth, Calif.
They lived in Canoga Park, Inglewood and Van Nuys, Calif., where Mike worked for Air Research and Ralph?s as a meat cutter, and Alice worked at the USPS. They have two daughters, Ronda Pech and husband Mario of Knoxville, Iowa, and Michelle (Shelley) Hume and husband Jeff of Edgerton, Mo. They moved to Fairfield, Iowa in 1978. Mike worked at Packwood Locker, Rockwell and retired from Meritor in 2001. Alice retired from the USPS in 2013.
Mike and Alice have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 11, at an open house in Fairfield?s AmericInn Hotel and Suites? banquet room from 2 to 4 p.m. They invite friends to bring a written memory of a cherished time they shared together or send in a card to 2574 Oasis Blvd., Fairfield, IA 52556.
