Couple to celebrate anniversary
Dick Schlatter and Mary Bowser were united in marriage Oct. 7, 1956, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua. They were blessed with four children including: Timothy Schlatter (who passed away Dec. 21, 2011), leaving wife Jeane of Richmond; Tamara (and Jim) Heckendorn of Huber Heights, Ohio; Dixie (and Richard) Young, Washington; and Stephen (and Ronette) Schlatter, Story City.

The family celebrated their parents' and grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary and their 80th birthdays Sept. 4. Dick and Mary live at 234 F. Place, Kalona.
