Crawfordsville Community Club plans Fun Days July 5-6

The Crawfordsville Community Club invites everyone to come help them celebrate Crawfordsville Fun Days, July 5 and 6. Following is a list of all events for both days. All events will take place in and in front of the Fire Station. Anyone with any questions can email the club at crawfordsvillecommunityclub@gmail.com or message them on Facebook Messenger. Check back often on Facebook to keep up to date on events.
July 5: 6-9 p.m. - Cornhole Tournament open to all and also El Gringo Loco (Food Truck)
July 6: 6 a.m.-9 a.m. - Fire Department Biscuits and Gravy
7 a.m.-noon- Car, Truck, Tractor and Garden Tractor Show
8 a.m.- 1 p.m. - J T Sips
8 a.m.- 1 p.m. - DeLovely's Delicious Mini Donuts
9:30 a.m.- Parade Line-up at School
10 a.m. -Parade sponsored by PEOPLES SAVINGS BANK
10:45 a.m. -Firemen's Water Fights
11 a.m. -1 p.m. -Face Painting
11 a.m. -1 p.m. - Pony Rides (Sponsored by McELHINNEY LIVESTOCK)

CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, June 10, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room with twelve members and two guests, Abe and Jan Miller from Brighton present.
President Mindy Wilson opened the meeting leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Shirley Massey led in prayer.
Following a meal of pizza enjoyed by everyone, the meeting reconvened.
Lion Secretary Billie Jo Rose read the minutes of the May 20, 2024 meeting and they were approved as read. In the absence of the Treasurer, there was no report.
Old Business: The meal for Crawfordsville Fun Days was further discussed and it was decided 300 pork burgers would be needed and set-up for the event would be at 10:30 a.m.
It was reported that a work project of a new deck and steps had been completed at a residence in town by several Lions members. Two thank-you notes were passed, one from Zoey Dennler for her scholarship awarded by the club and the other for a community service project.
New Business: There will be no meetings of the Lions Club in July and August. The group voted to have a Pancake Breakfast, Saturday, September 14. Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs and drinks. The club will have a meeting on Monday, September 9.
Community Club members visited the club mentioning a community service project they had in mind and asked if the club was interested in joining them in the effort. More information will be available in the near future.
Lion Shirley Massey introduced guest Abe Miller of Brighton who told of his life experiences of growing up Amish in Ohio and leaving that lifestyle and how he got involved in music and starting his own band and also songwriting. Everyone enjoyed hearing him play his guitar and sing a few songs he had written. He and his wife invited everyone to Brighton Whoopee Days this coming weekend of June 15.
