Crawfordsville Fire Station hosts Halloween Costume Party

The Halloween Costume Party held at the Crawfordsville Fire Station on Tuesday evening, Oct. 31 was well attended. Nearly 50 participated in the contest ranging in age from infants to adults.
Winners in the following categories were:
Infant: 1st Place: Coleman Peterson-Grumpy the Dwarf; 2nd Place: Elsie Lintz-Minnie Mouse; 3rd Place: Chayse McClain-Dinosaur.
Toddler: 1st Place: Kynlee Penfield-Cowgirl; 2nd Place: Alice Peterson- Snow White; and 3rd Place: Brynn Carstensen-Cow.
Pre-K: 1st Place: Garth Stout-Mario; 2nd Place: Temperance Cox-Witch and 3rd Place: Jayda Davis-Minnie Mouse.
Kindergarten: 1st Place: Kase Carstensen-Dinosaur; 2nd Place: Kinsley Neels- Kitty Witch and 3rd Place: Johanna Hesseltine-Butterfly.
1st-2nd Grades: 1st Place: Henry Farrell-Banana; 2nd Place; Macy Stout-Princess Peach and 3rd Place: Jaxon Davis-Werewolf.
3rd-4th Grades:1st Place: Willow Holmes- Neseco; 2nd Place: Khayden Rees- Pug; and 3rd Place: Kylie Penfield- Cowgirl.
5th-6th Grades: 1st Place: Ryas Petty-Sam; 2nd Place: Preston Lasek- Skeleton Cat and 3rd Place: Jessup Collier- Army Zombie.
Open Class: 1st Place-Ethel Lou- Little Old Lady; 2nd Place: Jeremy Collier- War Skeleton Ninja and 3rd Place Emily Kisor and Aiden Rice-Cop and Prisoner.
Family: 1st Place: The Stout family-Mario Kart; 2nd Place: Leah McElhinney and Rylan- Chicken and Corn and 3rd Place: Ethel Lou and friends.
Grand Prize Winner: Ethel Lou, alias (Terry McElhinney) and friends.
Everyone had a good time and afterward enjoyed Donuts and drinks courtesy of the Crawfordsville American Legion Post #593. Goody Bags were furnished by Peoples Savings Banks and Prizes by the Washington State Bank.
Following the party City-wide Trick or Treating was enjoyed.
WACO PACK 32, CUB SCOUTS
Seven kids from WACO Pack 32, Cub Scouts ranging from Kindergarten to sixth grade helped in cleaning up around Crawfordsville, picking up trash around the church, the Fire Station and the WACO Elementary School on Sunday, November 5.
4-H AWARDS
Once again, Zoey Dennler, daughter of Darren and Karen Dennler has made the Crawfordsville Community proud of her by receiving the "I Dare You" award, the highest honor in Washington County 4-H. She also received a Project Award for Horse and Pony, Excellence in record book and is a County Counsel member.
