Crawfordsville Lions Club meets

The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, October 14, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. for their monthly dinner meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room. Eleven members were present.

The meeting opened with President Scott Davis leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Fletcher offering prayer.

Following the delicious meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened.

Minutes from previous meetings were approved as read. Treasurer Finke gave the treasurer's report. He reported on the proceeds from the Pancake Breakfast held in September and it was deemed a success.

There was some discussion as to purchasing tables, but nothing was decided on at this time.

As there was no further business, the meeting adjourned.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY

The Crawfordsville Community Club will be hosting a Halloween Costume Party sponsored by the Crawfordsville American Legion and the Peoples Savings Bank on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Crawfordsville Fire Station beginning at 5:30. Classes will be judged for ages pre-school through sixth grade, with an open class for adults.

Refreshments of Donuts, Milk and Coffee will be served following the contest.

Trick or treating will follow from 6-8 p.m. Residents are asked to turn on their porch lights if they wish to participate in handing out treats.
