Crawfordsville Lions Club prepares for pancake supper Feb. 17

The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, Jan. 22, 2024 in the Crawfordsville Community Room at 7 p.m. with 12 members present.
The meeting was called to order by President Mindy Wilson leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Gene Miller offered prayer.
The Secretary's report was given by Secretary Billie Jo Rose and approved as read. Treasurer gave his report.
Old Business: Lion Gene Miller passed out tickets for members to sell for the upcoming Pancake Supper to be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 from 4-7 at the Crawfordsville Fire Station. A freewill offering will be taken. Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs and drinks will be served.
New Business: The Club was once again asked to make a donation to the After-Prom Party. It was moved, seconded and agreed to give toward this and the Club also voted to pay the second half of the WACO Scholarship donation.
Lion Rose will do the advertising for the Pancake Supper, both in the newspapers and the radio and Lion Jennie Greene will make posters. Members will meet at 9 a.m. the morning of the 17th to set-up for the supper.
As there was no other business, the meeting adjourned.
Tail Twister Finke entertained with trivia on various topics.
Refreshments were served by the January committee of Joel Greene and Mindy Wilson.
CHURCH NEWS
The Movie Night and Soup Competition will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 beginning at 4:30 p.m. Members of the Membership and Missions Committee will be making different soups for everyone to enjoy. This will be a competition and attendees will be voting on the one they prefer. Soups being offered are Baked Potato, Cheesy Vegetable, Lasagna and Chicken Noodle. Relishes and desserts will be offered, as well.
Following the supper, a movie will be enjoyed. Come bring the family and enjoy!
