Lunch was enjoyed by seven at the meeting of the Wyman Community Club at Ainsworth Four Corners on Monday, June 3, 2019. Those attending were John Wittrig and Laura Wittrig of Winfield; Jane Kaczinski of Washington, Ruth Johnston of Ainsworth and Frieda Finke, Margaret Patterson and Billie Jo Rose of Crawfordsville.
The club will meet next on Monday, July 1, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Ainsworth Four Corners for lunch.
The White Cloud Club met Tuesday, June 4, 2019, for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Frontier Restaurant in Washington with nine present.
Margaret Patterson opened the meeting with a funny reading from the comic Maxine.
Roll call was answered with everyone sharing a wedding story.
The club discussed their 80th anniversary and decided to have a float in the Crawfordsville Fun Days parade on Saturday, July 6. The theme of their float is 'The Survivors.” They will finalize the plans at next month's meeting.
Attending were Jolene Colthurst, Frieda Finke, Joyce Huff, Pat Miller, Betty Lucas, Margaret Patterson, Pauline Richardson, Virginia Sands and Shannon Sells.
Next month the club will meet on Tuesday, July 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the Frontier Restaurant in Wayland with Carrie Coble as hostess. There will be a White Elephant exchange. Roll call will be answered by each telling if they are going to watch fireworks.
The United Church of Crawfordsville is invited to join Ainsworth Communuty Church for worship in the park at the Marr-Park Conservation Center on Sunday, June 16, 2019 ,at 10:30 a.m. Please bring a dish to pass and enjoy Father's Day with both church families. Table service and drinks will be provided. Pastor Jason will be leading the service.
The Ainsworth Church Women are making ‘Hats for Heroes” and are inviting anyone interested in helping them to join them on Thursday, June 13, at the south church at 1 p.m. They can use extra sewing machines, but they also need people to help cut out and do other things besides sew. These hats are for children who will be undergoing surgery at the University of Iowa Hospital or the Washington County Hospital. Please contact Donna Fletcher so she can let Kathi Bean know how many to plan on.
