The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room. Seventeen members were present.

Lion President Mindy Rochwick called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Larry Fletcher offered the opening prayer. Minutes from the Jan. 26 meeting were approved as read. Treasurer Lion Randy Finke gave the Treasurer?s report.

Correspondence: Material regarding Diabetes Camp Hertko Hollow was received to be distributed to the area schools.

Action Items: It was moved and seconded and approved to make donations to the Iowa Lions International Visual Impairment and Disabilities Camp at Camp Courageous, to the Iowa Lions Youth Exchange Camp at Boone, Iowa and to WACO After Prom. It was moved, seconded and approved to sponsor the Crawfordsville Community Club?s Easter Egg Hunt and to make a donation, and to sponsor the Crawfordsville Commmunity Club?s Dinner and Dance on July 25.

After some discussion about the Pancake Supper, Tail Twister Larry Fletcher picked everyone?s brains with yet another rousing round of trivia.

The meeting was adjourned by the president.

World Day of Prayer will be held at the Ainsworth Community Church with their church women as hosts on Friday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All women And men are welcome to attend. The 2015 theme is ?Jesus said, Do you understand what I have done for you??

Anyone who would like to carpool should meet at the U.C. of C. at 1 p.m.

U.C.W. ladies should note there will not be a regular March meeting, as World Day of Prayer takes its place.

Crawfordsville Community Club is holding a Game Nite at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Saturday evening, March 7 at 6 p.m. Club members are providing sandwich fixings and ask those attending to bring finger food.

The group is planning lots of games, so everyone bring your friends and plan to attend for an evening of fun. Everyone is welcome.

Remember to set your clocks an hour ahead Saturday evening before going to bed as daylight savings time begins on Sunday, March 8.
