Eleven members of the Crawfordsville Wednesday Study Club met at Dodici's on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Treats of coffee, tea, and cookies were provided by hostesses Meda Fulton and Janice Twinam.
President Pauline Richardson led the group in the flag salute and club collect. Several interesting book briefs were given by members. Secretary-Treasurer Debbie Lowe read the minutes of the last meeting held December 7, 2016 and gave the financial report. Some correspondence was shared. The slate of officers for the 2017-2018 year was presented by the nominating committee and were elected by unanimous vote.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 15. The program will be a group share on Home Remedies.
Following the business meeting, Debbie Lowe presented a program on the history and symbolism of weddings. The group then shared stories, pictures and memories of their own weddings.
Late Wednesday afternoon there was much excitement in Crawfordsville when a fire of unknown origin destroyed a shed full of hay, some lumber and a snow blower belonging to Gene Miller. Crawfordsville and Ainsworth Fire Departments were on the scene.
