A Baby Shower was held Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the United Church of Crawfordsville in honor of Shannon Rugg and Baby R, who is a boy and will be arriving around July 10 in the home of Shannon and Uriah Rugg. Chelsea and Clarissa Rugg were hostesses for the event.
After a few games, Shannon delighted in opening her many gifts before cake and other goodies were enjoyed.
Unfortunately Shannon's mother and sister-in-law were unable to make it from Wisconsin, but other guests included Uriah's mother, Nancy Rugg; sisters, Chelsea and Clarissa; aunts: Janet Whiting, Ann Lewis, Jill DeYarman, Pam Davis and Jeanne Davis; cousins: Mindy Driscoll and kids, Kim Farrell and Henry, Brittany Davis and Makinley, Jes Davis and girls and Joanie Kanneberg and kids; Co-workers: Hannah Meyers, Nicole Van Ommen, Becky Anderson and Alisha Rogers; and friends: Alex Gerkin, Rebecca Curtis, Brandi Dawson, Brenda Lyon and Deana DeLong.
Family members and friends gathered in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Sunday afternoon, June 23 to visit with former residents, Roger Holmes of Magalia, Calif.; and Randy and Becky White Davis of Greeley, Colo.
The Davises came especially for their 50th class reunion Saturday evening in Wayland.
A reminder for everyone in the Crawfordsville area that they are invited to join them for Crawfordsville Fun Days on Friday, July 5, and Saturday, July 6. The celebration will begin on Friday evening with a Bags Tournament at 6 p.m. and an outdoor movie 'Incredibles 2” at dusk. Both these events are at the Ball Field.
On Saturday: 50/50 Raffle all day at various locations:
' 6-9 a.m. Breakfast hosted by the Crawfordsville Fire Dept.
' 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Tractor & Car Show at the City Parking Lot
' 9 a.m. Parade Lineup
' 10 a.m. Parade through town, announced by KCII
' 11 a.m. Firefighter Water Fights, sponsored by Crawfordsville Fire Dept. at the Fire Station.
Beginning at 11:30 a.m. all events will be held at the Ball Field:
' Bounce House and Human Foosball will go on all day
' Noon and throughout the afternoon: Crawfordsville Lions will be serving lunch
' 1:30 p.m Slow Pitch Tournament
' 2-5 p.m.Musical Entertainment by Two Timers
' 2:30 Kiddie Games
' 3:30 Sanctioned Pedal Pull
