On Wednesday, May 18, twelve members of Wednesday Study Club enjoyed a day at Lake Darling. They were met there by Ruth Ann Stacy, who told much history about the park, how it was named and about the many improvements made in recent years. She led a ?drive-through? of the park, a drive that was beautiful and enjoyable. Lunch was a sack lunch eaten on the patio of the lodge with sightings of pelicans and eagles providing entertainment. The last meeting in this club year will be on June 15, and members will be notified of the time and place by the club call.
The Membership and Mission Fish Fry will be Sunday, June 5, from 4:30-7 p.m. They ask that you bring canned goods, paper products or items such as laundry soap, etc. Please, no outdated or short-dated products, as they are not allowed to dispense these. You may also make a monetary donation. This year the Membership and Mission Committee have elected to donate to both HACAP of Washington County and to the Ainsworth Food Pantry.
