In an earlier article the wrong club name was given. It should have read that the Wyman Community Club met at the Ainsworth Four Corners for lunch on Monday, Jan. 2, at 11:30 a.m. Enjoying the day were John and Laura Wittrig of Winfield; Frieda Finke, Ruth Erwin and Billie Jo Rose of Crawfordsville; Ruth Johnston of Ainsworth and Joann Love and Jane Kaczinski of Washington. The group will meet for lunch again on Feb. 6, at 11:30 at Ainsworth Four Corners.

He was welcomed by a sister, Makinley, 3 years old and a brother, Brysen, 2 years.
Grandparents are Scott and Jeanne Davis of Crawfordsville; Gloria Fear and Randy White of Mt. Pleasant; Pat and Val Congdon of Atalissa and Terry Lunsford of Wayland.
Great-grandparents are Marlys Fear of Olds; Tina Keith of West Liberty; Jim and Ann Pickle of Mt. Pleasant; and Dean and Petra White of Mt. Pleasant.
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9, at the Crawfordsville Community room. Sixteen members were present.
Lion President Billie Jo Rose called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Nancy Love gave the invocation. After a delicious meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened.
The minutes of the Nov. 28 meeting were approved as read. It was also noted that 28 members and guests had attended the Christmas Party on Dec. 12. Correspondence was read from the Lions Club International Foundation in the form of both a thank-you for a recent donation and a request for more. Crawfordsville resident Randy Bitting was the winner of the grand prize at the Christmas drawing. His thank-you was shared with club members. There was also correspondence from Camp Hertko Hollow. No action was taken at this time. There was no old business. New Business concerned the Pancake Supper Feb. 18, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the WACO Elementary School in Crawfordsville. It was moved, seconded and approved to keep the ticket prices the same as last year. It was noted that proceeds from this event will go to the Lions WACO High School Scholarship. Lion Larry Love will check into procuring pigs for the pancake supper sausage.
It was noted that Lions Steve and Janice Williams had transported corneas on Sunday from Coralville to Anamosa. This is something they do regularly and we commend them for this effort.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by the president.
Trivia followed. Did you know that the fastest mouse in Mexico was none other than Speedy Gonzales?
