The Wyman Community Club met for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Frontier Restaurant in Washington on Monday, Oct. 5. Attending were Audrey Finke, Peggy Buffington, Joann Love, Jane Kaczinski and Al and Adeline Sents of Washington; Robert and Lucille Humphreys, Elaine Prom, Ruth Erwin, Margaret Patterson, Frieda Finke and Billie Jo Rose of Crawfordsville; John Wittrig from Winfield and Wilma Vosburg of Grinnell. Randy Finke of Crawfordsville also joined the group for lunch. The group's next meeting will be Monday, Nov. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at the Frontier.

The Harvest Supper and Auction at the United Church of Crawfordsville will be held Saturday, Oct. 24. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The menu will feature creamed chicken and biscuits, beefburgers, salads and pies, all this for a Free-Will offering.

The auction will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature grain, crafts, baked goods, etc.

The Crawfordsville Community Club and the Crawfordsville Lions are sponsoring a Halloween event Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, from 7 -10 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Legion Hall. Come join them for a Spooktacular time. There is an admission fee.

Preceding this event on Saturday, Oct. 31, the American Legion is holding its annual costume party at the WACO Elementary School gym. Preschool through adults are welcome to participate. Judging will begin at 5:30 p.m. Milk, doughnuts and coffee will be served in the lunchroom following the judging.
