The regular meeting of The Church Women met Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. with 10 ladies present.
Helen Lease gave the meditation titled ?Harvest Season.?
President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and everyone read the Opening Creed together.
Minutes of the Sept. 13 meeting were read by secretary Billie Jo Rose and they were approved as read.
Treasurer Pat Miller gave the treasurer?s report.

The regular meeting of The Church Women met Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. with 10 ladies present.

President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and everyone read the Opening Creed together.
Minutes of the Sept. 13 meeting were read by secretary Billie Jo Rose and they were approved as read.
Treasurer Pat Miller gave the treasurer?s report.
Wilma McAllister reported on Dorcas?s activities with many quilts finished and others a work in progress.
The usual cards had been sent.
Clarissa Malmberg presented the message for Mission Outreach with the focus on Nigeria.
The regular offering and the Least Coin Offering was received.
It was noted the Harvest Sale and Supper would be held Saturday evening, Oct. 22.
Helen Lease reported on the progress of the Ingathering Kits. The goal is 200 kits and to date 196 have been completed. The cut-off date for kits is the last week in October.
Debbie reported having attended a UMW annual meeting and a UPW Annual Fall Gathering/Business Meeting. Nov. 12 is a Mission Day at Eldridge UMC.
The next regular meeting is Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. Clarissa will be hostess and have meditations.
Holiday boxes will be made up Nov. 17, at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
Dorcas will met Oct. 24, Nov. 14 and Nov. 28.

Following a motion to adjourn the Closing Creed was read in unison. Deb thanked Helen for being hostess.

The Crawfordsville Community Club and the Crawfordsville Lions Club will sponsor a Halloween party at the Crawfordsville Ball Field (behind the school) on Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, from 7 to 10 p.m. A fee will be charged to enter.
The American Legion will hold their annual Halloween Costume Party at the WACO Elementary School in Crawfordsville On Monday, Oct. 31, at 5:30 p.m. Grades pre-school through sixthgrade and an open class for higher grades and adults will be judged. Refreshments of donuts, milk and coffee will be served in the school lunchroom following the judging.
Following the party Trick or Treating will follow around town Please turn your porch light on so the little ones and (some big ones) will know where to stop.
