Visitors in the home of Eldon and Lennis Beichter this week have been Albert and Hilda Beichter and their daughter, Anne Murray from Carman, Canada . They also visited a cousin in Kansas.
Joe and Alice Hochstetler enjoyed a visit from their grandchildren, Noah, 11 years, Mussie, 8 years and Greta, 8 years from Goshen, Ind., this week. The children also spent time with their aunt and uncle Ilona and Matt Roberts at Mt. Pleasant. They are the children of J.B. and Carla Hochstetler.
Amy Sara Richardson is the new Youth and Family Ministry Leader serving both the United Church of Crawfordsville. Her Ministry begins on Aug. 1 and is a welcome addition to both churches.
Vacation Bible School is being held at the United Church of Crawfordsville beginning Monday, Aug.10 and running through Friday, Aug. 14, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A light dinner will be served. The theme this year is Cross Country VBS-Thailand Trek. This year the kids will be on a mission to Thailand and will have fun and understand what missions are all about. They will have a chance to learn about another culture and God.
In August, the Dorcas ladies will be working on school bags for the Methodist Ingathering in Mt. Pleasant. School supplies are beginning to be on sale everywhere. Items can also be picked up for Sewing Kits, Health Kits and Layette Kits. There is a list of items needed on the table in the Narthex. (The scissors requested for the school kits must be blunt edged.)
