There isn't much happening with everyone at the Washington County Fair and the extreme heat. Think everyone is happy to stay in and be where it is cool. Early Wednesday afternoon a strong thunderstorm warning was issued for the area and Crawfordsville experienced strong winds and heavy rain. Several lost trees or a lot of large branches were blown down and articles outside found new homes in others' yards. Thankfully there were no injuries.
In church news, Crooked Creek Camp is asking for donations of used taper candles that are no longer needed for a special night at their pond. They can be left by the church office door and someone will see that they get to the camp.
The WACO Back Pack program can always use plastic bags that are in good condition to wrap and send items home in. They may be left in the office or kitchen.
