Doug and Crystal Marsh, Colten and Brennen and Tarissa Lochman and Noah Kunneman stopped in Crawfordsville Saturday afternoon at Grandma Helen Lease's en route to Yakama, Washington where they are moving. Also accompanying them were Breeannah and Tiarrah Marsh and Jacob Simple, who went back to Missouri on Sunday where they will remain to attend their collages there. The Marsh family previously lived in Saint Robert, Missouri.
Also stopping by Grandma Helen's to visit with the Marshes were Jeri Hansen of Cedar Rapids, Cheryl Stufflebeam of Manchester, Verna Spangler of Washington, Angel Marsh of North Liberty, Edwin Ortega of Washington, Glenn Hesseltine, Josh and Brook Hesseltine and Bentley, Aline Hesseltine and Larry Hesseltine, all of Crawfordsville.
Doug retired in March after 24 years in the Army and has employment in Yakama, Washington.
Aline Hesseltine entertained family members Saturday evening at supper to celebrate the August birthdays of her son, Glenn and her daughter, Sandra Smith.
Those attending were Glenn Hesseltine of Crawfordsville, Sandra and Kevin Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Breeannah and Tiarrah Marsh and Jacob Simple of Missouri, Angel Marsh of North Liberty and Edwin Ortega of Washington, Dianna and Rush Brentlinger of Iowa City and daughter, Jamie and friend, Joshua of Grimes, Richard Hesseltine of Iowa City, Chad and Becky Hesseltine and Hayden of Mt. Pleasant, Josh and Brooke Hesseltine and Bentley, Larry Hesseltine and Helen Lease, all of Crawfordsville.
The Dorcas ladies are making school bags for the Methodist Ingathering in Mt. Pleasant. At this time approximately 46 have been made and Helen Lease has 38 filled with school supplies. She also has seven Health Kits completed. The list of the items still needed is on the table in the narthex. You can bring completed kits or purchase individual items needed and Helen will assemble them. Scissors requested for school kits must be marked "blunt."
