President Lennis Beichter began the meeting with a reading, "In Life's Garden." Roll call was "Do you have a pumpkin?" The secretary and treasurer's reports were approved as given.

New Business: Election of officers was held with the following results: president Jolene Colthurst; vice president Pat Miller; secretary treasurer Pauline Richardson; reporter Lennis Beichter; and assistant reporter Joyce Huff.The next meeting will be Nov. 3, with Pauline Richardson as hostess.
Those attending were Lennis Beichter, Julia Bletscher, Jolene Colthurst, Joyce Huff, Betty Lucas, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Frieda Finke, Pauline Richardson and guest, Margaret Patterson.
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Marr Park Conservation Center. Twelve members and six guests, Carol Ann and Randy Kirkbride from the Leaderdog Program, Alan Olson and James Goff from the Washington Lions Club, District Governor Don Foor and 1st Vice Governor Paul Hain.
President Loree Stogdill called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Secretary Nancy Love gave the opening prayer.
The minutes of the June 8, and the Sept. 14, meetings were approved as read. A thank-you note was read from the Ed Massey family for the club's memorial donation to ILF in his name. There was no treasurer's report.
In discussion about the recent Pancake Breakfast, it was suggested that the club revise the hours to 7 - 9:30 a.m. A motion was made, seconded and approved by the club.
Adam Mitchell asked the club to sponsor the upcoming Crawfordsville Community Club Halloween event on Oct. 30 and 31 at the Crawfordsville Legion Hall. A motion was made, seconded and appoved to do this.
There was discussion concerning the town Christmas lights stating that several didn't work last year. It was suggested to put up only working lights and to replace them next year. President Loree will look into this.
There was also discussion about the Christmas Drawing. The club will continue this tradition, as it is a fun way to draw the community together. The event is set for Saturday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m.
Santa will arrive at noon and the 4-H Club will have their annual bake sale at 12:30 p.m.
Following adjournment, members and guests enjoyed an excellent presentation about the Leader Dog Program by Carol Ann Kirkbride who raises leader dogs and James Goff, who is the owner of his leader dog, Peanut. Delicious refreshments were served by Alice Hochstetler.
Kenneth and Loree Stogdill welcomed twin grandsons on Sept. 30, 2015. Steve and Jamie Schlee of Farmersburg, became the parents of Cooper Finn, weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz. and Maxwell Kenneth, weighing 5 lbs. 2 oz. They were welcomed by an older sister, Kelsi, 16 years and Austin, 11 years.
Maternal grandparents are Sherrie and Brian Lowe of Sycamore, Illinois. John and Jean Schlee of Postville, Iowa are the boy's grandparents.
