The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room. Fifteen members and two guests and a prospective member, Adam Mitchell and Joan Anderson, were present.
President Larry Fletcher called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance and Arvid Anderson gave the invocation.

The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room. Fifteen members and two guests and a prospective member, Adam Mitchell and Joan Anderson, were present.
President Larry Fletcher called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance and Arvid Anderson gave the invocation.
The minutes from the Dec. 9, 2013, and Jan. 13, 2014 meetings were approved as read. The financial report was given by treasurer Randy Finke and accepted.
Plans for the pancake supper are under way. Setup will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8.
Taking down of Christmas lights will happen whenever the weather cooperates and the boom truck is available.
A request for funds was made by Camp Courageous. The club voted to make a donation.
Two new members were inducted into the club by Arvid Anderson: Craig Koehler and Lance Miller, both sponsored by Gene Miller.
Anderson, a 61-year charter member of the Lions Club, gave a very interesting program on his trip to Washington, D.C., in 2011 on the Southeast Iowa Honor Flight.
Lion Tail Twister Larry Fletcher put aside his presidential gavel in favor of some Super Bowl trivia.
The meeting adjourned.
