The May 20 meeting of Wednesday Study Club was a tour of several interesting places in the Kalona area. Twelve ladies went on the tour.
Places visited were: Community Country Store, Southwest Valley Poultry and Greenhouse, Creative Wood and Gifts, Golden Delight Bakery, Community Country Store Annex and Stringtown Grocery.
A delicious dinner was enjoyed at the country home of Warren and Ila Miller.

The May 20 meeting of Wednesday Study Club was a tour of several interesting places in the Kalona area. Twelve ladies went on the tour.
Places visited were: Community Country Store, Southwest Valley Poultry and Greenhouse, Creative Wood and Gifts, Golden Delight Bakery, Community Country Store Annex and Stringtown Grocery.
A delicious dinner was enjoyed at the country home of Warren and Ila Miller.
Several members went on to visit various places in downtown Kalona.
The tour was planned by Deb Lowe and co-hostess Rachel Koehler.
During a short business meeting, reading lists for the 2014-15 year were turned in. Also it was noted the place for the June 17 meeting has been changed. It will feature a tour of the Conger House in Washington.
Members were reminded that the Membership and Mission Committee is planning their annual HACAP Fish Fry on Sunday, June 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Crawfordsville. On the menu is deep fried fish, potato salad, coleslaw and dessert. Those attending are asked to donate a bag of groceries and/or paper supplies that will be given to the Washington HACAP Center. NO OUTDATED FOOD!!! Home canned food cannot be accepted either. If you prefer, a monetary gift is also acceptable. The money is used for vouchers to be used for bread, meat, milk, eggs and other perishable items.
This year Vacation Bible School is being planned by Becky Kremer and Pastor Jason, which will be held Aug. 10 to Aug. 14, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The theme is Cross Culture VBS Thailand Trek-Where kids discover how God loves their world.
