Eleven members of the White Cloud Club met for a 12:30 p.m. luncheon at the Ainsworth Four Corners on Tuesday, May 5. Pat Miller was in charge of arrangements.
President Lennis Beichter opened the meeting with a reading, "Song of the Sparrow." Roll call was answered with a variety of topics.
The usual business meeting was held.
A plant and bulb exchange was enjoyed.

A plant and bulb exchange was enjoyed.
Those attending were Lennis Beichter, Julia Bletcher, Jolene Colthurst, Frieda Finke, Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Betty Lucas, Pat Miller, Pauline Richardson, Virginia Sands and Wanda Schultz.
The next meeting will be a breakfast on Tuesday, June 2, with the place and time to be announced later.
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the Crawfordsville Community Room. Seventeen members were present.
President Mindy Wilson called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Nancy Love gave the invocation.
Correspondence: A thank-you note was read from the Washington Wellness Planning Team for the club's participation in the recent health fair.
Old Business: President Mindy encouraged people to attend the Fruitland Charter Banquet on June 13.
New Business: Gene Miller was awarded the Membership Key Award for sponsoring two new Lions members in the past year.
Lions were reminded of the June 1 blood drive at the United Church of Crawfordsville.
There will not be a second meeting this month, as it falls on Memorial Day. The June 8 meeting will be held at the ball park at 6:30 p.m.
Following adjournment, Tail Twister Larry Fletcher led the club in a brain-teasing trivia round.
Memorial Day Services will be held at the Crawfordsville Cemetery on Monday, May 25, at 10 a.m. The speaker for this year's service will be Elizabeth Ledvina, president of the Iowa Association of Veterans Service of Officers. She is also a combat veteran.
Doughnuts and coffee will be served at the Legion Hall in Crawfordsville following the service at the cemetery. In case of rain the service will be held at the Legion Hall.
The United Church of Crawfordsville was happy to be the recipient of a grant for a "facility update" given by the Washington County Riverboat Foundation recently.
