T.T.T. Society
On Monday, November 25, 2019 Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society met at the Olds United Church of Christ. President Barb Shelman called the meeting to order and opened the meeting with the group singing, 'Sword of Gold.' Seventeen members answered roll call by telling their favorite month of the year.
The October minutes were read and one correction was made to the ending balance of the checking account.
Reports: Missy Fear gave the treasurer's report, and will be filed for audit.
Camp: Nancy has been in contact with the third girl for camp and she has agreed to attend, so there will be three going.
Charity: Marlys has mailed three gift cards to campers.
Camp Girls' Gifts: Pat reported she had sent two cards to previous campers.
Ways and Means: Leah thanked everyone for bringing their items to the bazaar. Barb reported tip night went well at the Mt. Pleasant Pizza Ranch.
New business: Barb passed around the 2020 Committee sign-up sheet as well as hostess sign-ups. Discussion was held concerning the upcoming meeting in May, as it falls on Memorial Day and it was decided to hold the regular meeting on Tuesday, May 26 instead.
Pat King presented two bills and a motion was made by Betty Molander and seconded by Nancy McGohan to pay these; motion carried.
President Shelman thanked Leah and Karolyn for refreshments. The next meeting will be February 24, 2020 at the Olds United Church of Christ with Nancy McGohan as hostess. The meeting closed with the Closing Creed. The bazaar was held following the close.
Wyman's Club lunch
Fourteen met at Gussy's for the Wyman Club's lunch on Monday. December 2, 2019 11:30. Attending were Ray and Shirley Hendrickson of Iowa City; Wilma Vosburg of Grinnell; Renee Cue of West Des Moines; Sharon Ryder of Bettendorf, Joann Love and Jane Kaczinski of Washington; John Wittrig and Laura Wittrig of Winfield; Ruth Erwin, Margaret Patterson, Billie Jo Rose and Larry and Nancy Love from Crawfordsville.
The next meeting will be held Monday, January 6. 2020 with the place to be announced.
White Cloud Club
The White Cloud Club met Tuesday, December 3, 2019 for their 11:30 Christmas luncheon at the home of Jolene Colthurst in Washington, which she had prepared for them. After a delicious lunch, Pauline opened the meeting with a Christmas Trivia. Nine answered roll call by telling their favorite candy bar. Minutes were read and the treasurer's report were given and approved as read. Margaret gave everyone two pictures to keep in their books for the club's 80th year. The tour committee asked for ideas and they will be checking into those. Those attending were: Frieda Finke, Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Betty Lucas, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Pauline Richardson, Shannon Sells and the hostess. The next meeting will be at Gussy's at 11:30 on February 4 with Shannon, as hostess.
Following the close of the meeting a Secret Sister gift was opened by Betty Lintz. The group exchanged gifts and shared cookies they brought and enjoyed dessert Jolene had made, before going home.
