Barb Sollazzo of Liberty, Missouri, visited over the weekend with Billie Jo Rose and other friends in the Ainsworth Area.
The White Cloud Club held their annual tour on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Their first stop was at Sweet Blessings in Brighton for coffee and with a kolache, cinnamon roll or muffin.
Next they headed to Lake Darling where Zack Haworth of the DNR told them about the park. He showed them the Lodge and one of the new four seasons cabins. They enjoyed a nice drive all through the campground.
From there they drove on to Richland for a nice lunch at Lorianne's Cafe.
Next on the list was the Wooden Wheel Winery near Keota. The owners gave a brief history of the winery and they were given a tour of it and also an old barn where they host parties and weddings.
Those enjoying the day were Jolene Colthurst, Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson and Pauline Richardson.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 11:30 a.m. at Sassy's Cafe in Wayland. Secret Sisters will be revealed.
The fall cleanup for the city of Crawfordsville will be Saturday, Sept. 24. Please have all items out by 7 a.m.
Household debris should be bagged. There is a 100-pound limit. Wood needs to be bundled. Paint cans should be emptied and dried out. Tires and appliances will be picked up for a small fee.
Items will only be picked up with a sticker on them. Stickers may be purchased from the city clerk.
Items that will not be picked up include: oil, burn barrels, yard waste, any hazardous waste, concrete, brick or plaster.
Any questions, contact the city clerk, Carolyn Love.
