The Crawfordsville Lions met Monday evening, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. for their regular meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 15 members and two guests, Robin Kiefer and Doug Donald, present.
Lion President Billie Jo Rose called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Larry Fletcher gave the invocation.

The Crawfordsville Lions met Monday evening, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. for their regular meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 15 members and two guests, Robin Kiefer and Doug Donald, present.
Lion President Billie Jo Rose called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Larry Fletcher gave the invocation.
In the absence of Lion secretary Nancy Love, Lion Randy Finke read the minutes of the Jan. 9, meeting. They were approved as read. He also gave the treasurer?s report, noting he had paid the International dues.
In unfinished business Lion Swailes handed out tickets to be sold for the upcoming Pancake Supper on Saturday, Feb. 18. Everyone was encouraged to sell at least 10 tickets before the event. Tickets may be purchased from any Lions member or at Agri-Way Partners in Crawfordsville. Lion Larry Love has made arrangements to have pigs delivered to Bud?s. People are needed to work and to cleanup the night of the supper. It was suggested the club ask members of the Community Club to help. First Responders will once again have the coat check and Girl Scout cookies will be available.
Robin Kiefer spoke to the club on behalf of the After-Prom Committee and it was agreed to give them $100.
Lion Lintz has checked the Christmas lights and some strands need to be replaced and more LED lights purchased.
In new business the date of April 1 was decided on for highway clean-up. Workers will meet at the Crawfordsville sign at 9 a.m.
The next meeting will be a regular dinner meeting and the Pancake Supper will take the place of the second meeting of the month.
The meeting adjourned, followed by trivia supplied by Tail Twister Lion Fletcher.
Pastor Jason Collier has changed his office hours at the United Church of Crawfordsville and they are now from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesdays. He will be there on that day and time unless called away.
Pastor Jason will be on vacation from Wednesday, Feb. 8 through Wednesday, Feb. 15. Pulpit Supply on Sunday, Feb. 12 will be Scott Johnson.
