President Mindy Wilson called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance, after which Gene Miller gave the invocation.

Old Business: A report was given on the road cleanup project. It was noted that vests must be worn. A wayward cell phone was found in the ditch and added to the contents of the bag. When it rang, it was retrieved from the bag and returned to its owner.
New Business: It was moved, seconded and approved to put the old grills up for sale on Craig's List. Adam Mitchell will take care of this. There are four packages of pork burgers that can be used at the June meeting. Gene Miller asked for help putting in concrete for 12 new flagpoles at the Crawfordsville Cemetery. It was suggested that members might do this at a regular meeting time. It was brought to the club's attention the importance of identifying members as Lions while doing service projects by wearing caps, shirts or vests with Lions' logos on them.
After a discussion about the Leader Dog Program, it was moved, seconded and approved to sponsor a Leader Dog. Nancy will get more information on how to proceed. It was moved, seconded and approved to give financial help to a local couple in need. It was suggested the clubs find out who was on the Ainsworth club roster and to contact them and invite them to join the club. Lion Nancy reported from the District Convention that the Crawfordsville Club was one of six that had had a net gain in membership this year.

The April 15 afternoon meeting of Wednesday Study Club was held at the United Church of Crawfordsville with Ruth Erwin as hostess. Twelve members were present.
Janice Twinam and Rachel Koehler were in charge of the program, and they shared many of the interesting events on their recent bus tour to New York City. Pictures, maps, a program from a musical attended, postcard pictures, descriptions of the Statue of Liberty and many other descriptions and displays helped members to learn much about touring this huge city. Members agreed that one tour could not begin to cover the many, many interesting things available in a place with so much to offer.
Deb Lowe is in charge of the next meeting, which will be a tour of the Kalona area. Reading lists will be due then, with favorite books earmarked.
