The United Church Women enjoyed a Christmas luncheon at 11:30 a.m at the Applewood Bistro in Washington on Tuesday, Dec. 13, with 13 in attendance.
Following lunch their business meeting was held.

The United Church Women enjoyed a Christmas luncheon at 11:30 a.m at the Applewood Bistro in Washington on Tuesday, Dec. 13, with 13 in attendance.
Following lunch their business meeting was held.

President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and the minutes of the Nov. 8, meeting were read by secretary Billie Jo Rose and approved as read.
Treasurer Pat Miller gave the treasurer?s report.
Thank-you notes were read from various organizations and individuals.
In local activities it was reported that the ladies had served one birthday supper and one funeral luncheon.
Wilma McAllister reported on Dorcas? activities that they had finished more quilts and put more together ready to be tied.
The usual cards had been sent
In upcoming events the next regular meeting will be Jan.10, 2017, with Wilma sharing devotions and being hostess. Dorcas will meet on Jan. 9 and 23, 2017.

Following a motion to adjourn, the Closing Creed was read in unison. Deb thanked hostesses Cathy Williams and Pauline Richardson for being hostesses.
Deb closed with Scripture from Isaiah 9:6.
New program books for 2017 were distributed.
The Crawfordsville Fire Department will hold a soup supper at the Crawfordsville Fire Station on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken.
