The U.C.W. met at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 2 p.m. with 13 members present.

Clarissa Malmberg presented the meditation "Give Thanks" from Max Lucado and also "Take Your Needs to God" by Jennifer Kennedy Dean.

President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and everyone read together the U.C.W. Opening Creed.

The minutes of the May 12, 2015, meeting were read by secretary Billie Jo Rose. A motion was made to approve these as read.

In the absence of treasurer Pat Miller, the report was given by Donna Fletcher and will be filed for audit. The regular and Thank Offering was taken.

In Correspondence thank-you notes were read.

Wilma reported for Dorcas that the ladies had met at her home the preceding day with nine ladies and Jason, Izzy, Jeremy and Jessup had joined them. Many quilts were finished and Donna reported having finished 70 T-shirt dresses.

Several cards were sent.

It was noted the Fall Rummage Sale will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 5 from 8 a.m. til noon.

The kitchen renovations will begin sometime after Aug. 1.

The U.M.W. have many upcoming meeting dates. The U.P.W. will have a Fall Gathering on Oct. 3.

There will not be a meeting of the U.C.W. in August but their regular schedule will resume schedule Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. Ruth Erwin will have the meditation and be hostess.

Dorcas will meet for sewing at Wilma's on Monday, July 27, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24.

The Work Committee for July is Carol Steele and Laura Hudson; August is Clarissa Malmberg and Rachel Koehler and September- Janet Whiting and Pauline Richardson. Ruth Erwin, Joyce Huff and Aline Hesseltine are in charge of the Fall Rummage Sale and Deb Lowe and Cathy Williams are in charge of the Sept. 14 Lions Club Supper.

Vacation Bible School will be held August 10 to 14 from 5:30 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Following a motion to adjourn the Closing Creed was read together. President Debbie Lowe thanked hostess Clarissa Malmberg and closed with scripture.

Both the United Church of Crawfordsville and the Ainsworth Community Church are volunteering to help with Camp Reece at the Lake Darling Youth Camp. The churches are scheduled to be there on Thursday, August 6 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Those going will accompany groups of campers to their evening activities.

The United Church of Crawfordsville will be holding Vacation Bible School Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14, from 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
