Fifteen members and one guest of the Wednesday Study Club met at the Ainsworth Opera House at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, to view the many, many Christmas creches from Mike Zahs' collection.
Mike started the tour by telling some facts about the history of the times of Christ's birth, the probable actual location and the people and animals that would have been present. He then described some of the places the nativities had come from. The collection covered all tables and spaces in the building, so many members were invited to view as they wished and to ask questions if they wished.
