The White Cloud Club met Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Sassy?s Cafe in Wayland where nine members and one guest enjoyed a delicious lunch. Jolene Colthurst had made each a May basket filled with goodies.
President Colthurst opened the meeting by reading ?May Time? from Ideals magazine. Roll call was answered by each telling their favorite room in their house. Pauline Richardson read the minutes of the April meeting.

President Colthurst opened the meeting by reading ?May Time? from Ideals magazine. Roll call was answered by each telling their favorite room in their house. Pauline Richardson read the minutes of the April meeting.
Those attending were Carrie Coble, Jolene Colthurst, Frieda Finke, Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Pauline Richardson, Wanda Schultz and guest, Fran Lowe. A plant exchange was held.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 7, at Sassy?s for an 8:30 a.m. breakfast.
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, May 9, for their dinner meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 15 members present.
Lion President Loree Stogdill opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Gene Miller gave the invocation.
Following the delicious meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler the meeting reconvened.
Lion Billie Jo Rose read the minutes of the April 24 meeting in the absence of Lion Secretary Nancy Love. They were approved as read. The treasurer?s report was given by Lion Larry Fletcher in the absence of Lion Treasurer Randy Finke.
A thank you note was read from those receiving funds from the Alzheimer?s Fundraiser.
In unfinished business: the club agreed to provide lunch at the ball field on July 2 for the Crawfordsville Town Celebration from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. They will be serving hot dogs, porkburgers, drinks, etc.
It was announced there would be a zone meeting at the Columbus Junction Senior Center May 16, at 6 p.m. Reservations need to be made by May 11. Also, the Crawfordsville Lions will be having a blood drive at the United Church of Crawfordsville June 6, from 2:30 p.m. til 7:30 p.m.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned. Following adjournment Tail Twister Larry Fletcher once again entertained with a round of trivia.
Memorial Day Services will be held at the Crawfordsville Cemetery on Monday, May 30, at 10 a.m. Guest speaker will be retired Colonel Kenneth E. Madden, USAR, Retired. Some chairs are available or bring your own lawn chair. Coffee and doughnuts will be served at the American Legion Hall following the service. In case of rain the service will be held at the Legion Hall.
