CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS
The Crawfordsville Lions met Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 at 7 p.m. for their regular meeting at the Crawfordsville Community Room with thirteen members present.
President Scott Davis opened the meeting leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Gene Miller offered prayer.
Secretary Billie Jo Rose reported the minutes of the Oct. 13, 2025 meeting and they were approved as read. Treasurer Randy Finke gave his report.
Old Business: Mention was made concerning the handling of money at the Pancake events. The Christmas drawing was once again discussed, with the date being December 20. Will check and see if a guest speaker is available for the November dinner meeting.
New Business: Discussion was held about putting up the town Christmas lights on Nov. 29, the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
The President will contact the electrician.
There being no further business, President Scott adjourned the meeting.
Lion Tamer Randy entertained with trivia about the World Series.
Refreshments were enjoyed by all and provided by the committee of Gene Lintz and Gene Miller.
CHAPTER L T.T.T.
Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, along with Chapter J at Our Choice Family Restaurant in Wayland for a social meeting. Six members from each chapter were in attendance for a total of twelve.
Discussion included a wide variety of topics, starting with the DBA logo, Camping4Girls. Then discussion transitioned to last week's National Convention, travels to and from camp this past summer, to name a few. A fun night was enjoyed by all.
The next meeting is Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at the Olds United Church of Christ.
GOOD NEIGHBOR DEED
Saturday, a group of young people from the United Youth Group and Youth Pastor Steve Dykstra of the Bethel Church and Pastor Jason Collier, Izzy, Jeremy and Jessup of the United Church of Crawfordsville arrived at the home of Alice Hochstetler and removed a large pile of dirt from her yard, which had been there, since some construction work was done last year. Alice is very thankful for everyone that helped.
Ilona Roberts and Grady of Milford, IN. spent the weekend with their mother and grandmother, Alice Hochstetler.
