CRAWFORDSVILLE CHRISTMAS CREATIONS
Take note that the Crawfordsville Community Club is starting a new tradition this year featuring a Tour of four local homes, Tractor-drawn rides to see outdoor lights and then Cocoa, Cookies and Games at the Fire Station with Santa present.
The event will take place Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from
4:00-7:00 p.m. This will be a Fun, Family-friendly event for all.
Tickets are on sale in advance from Community Club members for $8 and the day of for $10.
Let's see how many we can get to decorate for the holidays!

VETERANS DINNER
Schantz-Mitchell Post #593 of the Crawfordsville American Legion hosted a community Veterans Day dinner on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025. A bountiful dinner was enjoyed by all in attendance, with veterans supplying the turkey, mashed potatoes and dressing, while others brought many side dishes, along with desserts for all to enjoy.
Legionnaire David Cerka gave the invocation.
Commander Gene Miller introduced guest speaker Jordan Hill, who gave a very interesting account of his experience of being an umpire, both on the local and state level.
Thank you Crawfordsville American Legion for a delicious meal and fellowship!
CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
Thirteen members and one guest, Sheila Baker were in attendance for the Monday, Nov. 10, 2025 dinner meeting of the Crawfordsville Lions Club.
President Scott Davis called the meeting to order leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Fletcher gave the invocation.
Following the meal prepared by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened with the minutes of the Oct. 27, 2025 being read by Secretary Rose. They were approved as read and Treasurer Finke gave the financials.
OLD BUSINESS:
Lion Finke reported the cards have been printed for the upcoming Christmas Drawing, which will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 beginning with a 4-H Bake Sale at 12, Santa present at 12:30 and the drawing beginning at 1 p.m. President Davis reported he had talked to the electrician about putting up the town Christmas lights and this will be done at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 27. The Club's Christmas Supper on Dec. 8 was discussed with food options to be decided on at the next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
The upcoming Blood Drive will be held at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Monday, Dec. 1 from 1:30 -6:15 p.m. Anyone who hasn't been contacted to donate may do so by calling Billie Jo Rose @ 319-330-9955.
A motion was made and seconded to pay our donations to the L.C.I.F and I.L.F.
Lion Fletcher presentedTailTwister Randy with a Tail Twister pin.
As there was no further business, President Davis adjourned the meeting.
Tail Twister Finke entertained with trivia on many different subjects.
The Lions Club is a wonderful service organization and is always on the lookout for new members, so if anyone reading this has any interest in joining, please feel free to contact in Lions member.
