WEDNESDAY STUDY CLUB
The Nov. 19, 2025 meeting of the Crawfordsville Wednesday Study Club met at 2 p.m. at the Washington Frontier Restaurant.
Members attending were Ruth Erwin, Rachel Koehler, Debbie Lowe, Janice Twinam, Cathy Williams and Linda Wiltfang. Cathy hosted the meeting.
Books were discussed that members had been reading and books were brought to share.
Cathy presented Debbie with a fall decoration thanking her for her leadership of the group.
The ladies socialized while enjoying desserts and beverages of their choice.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 hosted by Rachel. Time and place to be announced.
CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
The Crawfordsville Lions met Monday evening, Nov. 24, 2025 at the Crawfordsville Community Room at 7 p.m. with 10 members present.
President Scott Davis called the meeting to order leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Larry Fletcher gave the invocation.
Secretary Billie Jo Rose read the minutes of the Nov. 10 meeting and they were approved as read. President Scott gave the treasurer's report in the absence of the treasurer.
Old Business:
Notes of appreciation for our contributions to L.C.I.F. and I.L.F. and also a Satisfaction Award for the club's work done during the year were passed. The day to put up the town Christmas lights has been changed to Friday, Nov. 28 due to forecast of upcoming inclement weather. They will be take down on Jan. 3 depending on the weather. The upcoming Blood Drive will take place on Monday, December 1 from 1:30- 6:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville.
New Business: The Lions annual Christmas dinner at Miller's Homestead Cooking near Kalona will be held on Monday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. and the menu was chosen. The annual Christmas Drawing was once again discussed. The date of the February Pancake Supper was set at Feb. 21, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Crawfordsville Fire Station.
President Davis adjourned the meeting, as there was no further business.
Refreshments were enjoyed by all and served by the Greene's.
In the absence of Tail Twister Finke, President Scott entertained with trivia on many different subjects.
SACHA CLUB
Eleven members of Sacha Club met Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at the Ainsworth Community Church.
President Brenda Bean opened the meeting. Linda McNeil read the minutes of the October meeting and a few corrections were made. Karen Megchelsen gave the treasurer's report.
Old Business:
The recent Craft Show was discussed. Each head of various committees responded with their net amounts and any suggestions they had. Benda Bean, chair of the entire craft show then opened the discussion up to everyone present. Various ideas were shared.
New Business:
There was a report on needy families. The committee will decide on what is needed and get the shopping done with the Christmas Season in mind.
Linda McNeil gave an interesting program on how to stay young with your brain and continue to challenge your everyday activities.
The next meeting will be Dec. 15 at the home of Jolene Colthurst. Members are to note the change of date. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. There will be an ornament exchange, with the theme of the year being a "wooden ornament"
The meeting adjourned with the Club Collect. Refreshments were served by Linda McNeil.
