WHITE CLOUD CLUB
The White Cloud Club met at Jolene Colthurst's home for a Christmas luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Present were Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Virginia Sands and the hostess.
Following a delicious lunch prepared by Jolene the group met in her living room for their meeting.
Jolene opened the meeting with a reading from Ideals Magazine called "Behold the Child." Roll call was answered with "Do you like a White Christmas?". The secretary's report and treasurer's report were given.
There will be no meeting in January and for the February meeting, Betty will let everyone know where it will be held. Future area events were discussed and the following were mentioned - The Dec. 6 WAAG is sponsoring Selah at the Presbyterian Church in Winfield. The Candlelight Tour of Home in Washington will be Friday and Saturday and on Dec. 13 and there will be the "Crawfordsville Christmas Creations Home Tour." The Crawfordsville Lions Club will hold their annual Christmas Drawing on Saturday, December 20.
Christmas gifts were exchanged and many nice gifts were received.
A mystery sister birthday gift was given to Betty. Everyone brought goodies to share and a plate was filled for everyone to take home and some were eaten along with desserts that Jolene had made. Before departing, Jolene gave everyone a gift to take home.
LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER
Members and guests of the Crawfordsville Lions Club enjoyed dinner at Miller Homestead Cooking near Kalona on Monday evening, Dec. 7, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
The invocation was given by Lion Darrell Egli.
A delicious dinner was enjoyed by Darrell and Mary Egli, Randy and Linda Finke, Jennie Greene and Brook Smith, Joel and Luetta Greene, David and Lisa Jewell, Gene and Betty Lintz, Larry Love and Preston Lasek, Mike and Shirley Massey, Gene and Pat Miller, Billie Jo Rose and Alice Hochstetler.
Following dinner the group enjoyed visiting before heading home.
