CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, Jan. 12, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room for their monthly dinner meeting with twelve members and one guest, Gary Anderson.
President Scott Davis opened the meeting leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Larry Fletcher offered prayer.
Following the meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler the meeting reconvened. The minutes of the Nov. 24, 2025 meeting and the Dec. 8, 2025 Christmas Dinner meeting were read by Lion Mindy Wilson, in the absence of Secretary Billie Jo Rose. They were approved with one correction, that being that date of the February Pancake Supper has been moved to Feb. 28, 2026. The treasurer's report was given by Treasurer Finke.
Old Business: The results of the annual Christmas Drawing were discussed and everyone seemed to be pleased, with over 200 gifts being passed out. Thank you's have been received from those getting gifts and everyone encouraging the Club to keep this tradition going. Pam Davis was the recipient of the Grand Prize. The 4-H Bake Sale preceding the drawing offered a large variety of items which was a success, as well as Santa's appearance. Town lights were taken down on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at 9 a.m. The February Pancake Supper will be Saturday, Feb. 28 from 4-7 p.m. at the Fire Station.
New Business: Many thank-you notes had been received for gifts at the drawing. To all who went out and solicited individuals and businesses to donate — a big thank-you. This takes time and a lot of effort. You are very appreciated.
The Lions Scholarship for a WACO Senior was discussed and the Club will proceed as in the past.
There being no further business to come before the club, the President adjourned the meeting.
Tail Twister Finke entertained with a variety of trivia.
