On Wednesday, Feb. 17, the meeting of Wednesday Study Club was held at the home of Clarissa Malmberg with 12 present.
Since President Cathy Williams was detained, the program was the opener of the meeting. Marilyn Rees was the program leader and members were asked to write down a bit of information about themselves that the others might not be aware of. This information was then shared and enjoyed with members as they guessed who had written it.
When Cathy arrived, she conducted the business meeting. A letter was received from Lending Hands thanking members for the donation of paper products. Cathy has many books that have been left at meetings for others to read and she commented that those not chosen would probably be donated to the church rummage sale.
There was discussion about the March and April meetings, but final plans haven't been decided upon by the program committee.
At the close of the meeting, refreshments were served by co-hostess Wilma McAllister.
Maxine Martin will be hostess for the March meeting.
Dustin and Kari Beichter, Norah and Khole of Seattle, Washington, recently spent five days visiting in the home of Eldon and Lennis Beichter. While here, Norah was baptized at the Swedesburg Lutheran Church.
Opal Reschly returned Saturday from a two week visit with her sister, Mary Jane Troyer in North Port, Florida. She accompanied her brother, Donald Burkholder of Lathrop, Missouri. She reports they enjoyed their visit, but it was cold!! She prefers Iowa.
