WHITE CLOUD CLUB
Circa 59 at Halcyon House in Washington was the meeting place for White Cloud members on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026. Members gathered at 11 a.m. for a delicious meal preceding their regular meeting. Tables were decorated by the hostess Betty Lintz in the Valentine theme. Candy Conversation Hearts were read from each cup of candies.
President Jolene Colthurst read a poem from the booklet "Be My Valentine."
Five members answered Roll Call by answering "Pajamas or Nightgown?"
Minutes from the December meeting were read and approved. The treasurer's report was given with no new bills presented.
There was no old business.
New Business included announcing the March meeting will be part of the annual "Date Night" to be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Your Choice Family Restaurant in Wayland. Members are encouraged to invite guests for a meal and evening of conversation.
Prior to the meeting being adjourned members listed upcoming events. The Crawfordsville Lions will be holding a Pancake Supper on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 4-7 at the Fire Station and the United Church of Crawfordsville will be having Soup Supper on Saturday, March 21 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. This will include Oyster and Potato Soup, along with a competition Chili Cook-off. Each is offered for a freewill offering.
Attending were Jolene Colthurst, Diane Johnson, Betty Lintz, Margaret Patterson and Virginia Sands.
A big thank-you to Betty Lintz for making the arrangements and to Circa 59.
PET BOARDING BLESSINGS & THE GROOM ROOM
Jason and Christina Collier's latest adventure" Pet Boarding Blessings and the Groom Room" is officially open for business and they are planning an Open House, Saturday. Feb. 21, 2026 from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. at 109 No. Washington Street, Crawfordsville, Iowa.
They have been raising and selling puppies since 2018 and decided to expand into dog boarding. They are keeping their boarding facility small so that they can give each dog plenty of love and attention while they are with them.
Their daughter, Lexie is also doing grooming at this facility.
SACHA CLUB MEETS
Ten members of Sacha Club met Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Ainsworth Community Church. President Brenda Bean called the meeting to order. Linda McNeil gave the December minutes, with a correction. Karen Megchelsen presented the treasurer's report.
New Business: A Blood Drive will be held Monday, February 2 at the church. Members who signed up to bring cookies were reminded to have them there by 2 p.m. They were also reminded of their time slots. The scholarship was discussed and the forms will be going out to Highland High School. The Easter Egg Hunt was reviewed, with more information to follow. Karen Megchelsen gave a program on fraud. Interesting ideas were shared on just how easy it is for people to get your information and assets.
The meeting closed with the Club Collect recited by all. The next meeting is Monday, February 23, 2026 with the hostess being Kathy Bean.

The families of the late Cleo and Arlene Lowe Fletcher got together on Saturday, January 31, 2026 for a family reunion and to celebrate January birthdays in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville . Attending were Larry and Donna Fletcher, Crawfordsville and Steve and Pam Green of Washington; Mick and Kathy Garris of Winfield, Troy Garris and Rod Salaysay, Eagle Lake, MN., Charlie and Jennifer Dill and Sienna, Webster Grove, MO., Aliyah Dill, Columbia, MO., Eric and Becca Garris, Clinton and Calvin, Webster Groves; Robin Fletcher and Mike Rolling, Corey and Amy Mellies, Lily, Oliver and Claire, all of Ames; Linsey Zimmerman and Henry, of Cedar Falls.
SOUP SUPPER
Everyone is welcome to attend a Soup Supper on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the United Church of Crawfordsville. Oyster and Potato Soup will be offered along with a competition Chili cook-off, all for a free-will offering.
