The United Church Women met Tuesday, January 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall with eight ladies in attendance. Wilma McAllister shared the meditation 'When God Sighed” from Max Lucado's book, 'God Came Near”.
President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and the Opening Creed was read in unison. The minutes of the December 10 meeting was read by Secretary Billie Jo Rose and they were approved as read. Pat Miller, Secretary gave the Treasurer's report and it will be filed for audit.
Several thank you notes and letters were shared from for donations for year end givings from various organizations and also one personal. Mention was made concerning the purchase of some new pots/pans for the kitchen.
DORCAS: Wilma reported due to weather conditions sewing was cancelled, but four ladies did come and four lap robes were ready to be tied and one baby quilt and two tops finished.
STUDY & DEVOTIONS/MISSION OUTREACH: Clarissa reported one Healthcare worker had observed a birthday. She presented a program on the call to prayer and self denial offering and it was taken, along with the Regular offering the Least Coin offering and the Fellowship of the Least Coin was read together.
The group will not meet in February, but will meet March 10 at 2 p.m. Meditation: Deb; Hostess: Donna and the Birthday Offering will be taken.
Dorcas will meet January 27, February 10 and 24 and March 9 and 23.

Following a motion to adjourn the Closing Creed was read in unison. Deb thanked Cathy for hostessing. She closed with 'When I come to the end of my rope, God is there to take over” and also with Hebrews 13:5.
